Who We Are
The Green Lake Area Community Garden project was established
in 2009 to foster the skills for and an enjoyment of organic gardening
among area residents.
Bloch's
Farm at W1604 State Highway 23, recently named one of the Top 100
Garden Centers in the United States, provides the garden plots, tilling
and water for the project. Creekwood Farms, Lake Mills, provides organic
manure for the project. Menards will assist with the April, 2010, fencing
project. Seed Savers of Decorah,
Iowa, has donated heirloom herb, vegetable and flower seed packets to
the project as part of its Herman's Garden program. Graphic Sign &
Letter Company of Ripon has donated garden signage.
Farmers
& Merchants Bank in Berlin has provided underwriting assistance
with the operating costs of the project.
